Work Visit Visa Requirements

Passport

1. You must send your physical passport- copies cannot be used for visa issuance. Your passport validity must be greater than 6 months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. It must also contain at least 2 adjacent blank pages. Foreign passport holders (i.e. not Australian or N.Z.) must submit an immigration residency permit showing at least two years prior residence
2. A copy of the first page of the passport (containing applicant’s photo and details)

Passport-Style Photographs

1. You must provide two (2) identical passport photographs that meet Passport Photograph Regulations: recently taken, showing current appearance with a white background. Please ensure that there is no damage to these photos
2. Please do not staple or glue the photos to the application form.
   

Visa Application Form

1. Please ensure that this form is fully filled. The following fields contained on the application form are critical in the lodgment of visa applications:
   • Home address and phone number- this must also include the fields which relate to religion as well as your mobile number and home phone number.
   • Profession, Qualification and Place of Issue – these fields are all related and ordered from right to left on the form. Profession must match the profession stated on the Saudi document. Place of issue refers to where the qualification was obtained.
   • Destination and Carrier’s name – relates to the applicant’s travel details. Please note that destination relates to the first point of entry in Saudi Arabia. The carrier’s name is the airline company name or if by land or sea, please state this.
   • Mode of payment- Please tick cheque (Note: The embassy will only accept money orders or bank cheques for Australians or bank drafts for New Zealanders). Please state the cheque number and the date of obtaining the cheque.
   • Relationship- Please state N/A in the relationship field as this is only for religious purposes.
   • Name and address of company or individual in the Kingdom – these details relate to the sponsor in Saudi Arabia. Please include the sponsor’s name, P.O. Box address, and contact number in this field.
2. Please ensure your application form is signed and dated at the bottom

Saudi Document

Option 1: Visa authorisation number issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia. This should be sent by the Saudi sponsor to the applicant.

Option 2: Electronic letter of invitation issued by the Saudi company via the Ministry of Foreign affairs.

Work Contract

1. The original and a copy of the work contract is required:
   • This must be signed by both parties- the company in Saudi Arabia and
     the visa applicant.
   • The profession of the applicant, stated on the work contract must
     match with the profession stated on the visa authorisation number/letter of invitation from the Saudi sponsor, and the letter of experience.
2. The work contract must be signed and stamped by:
   • The chamber of commerce in Saudi Arabia

Letter of Experience

1. A letter of experience or reference for two years which must match with the position being applied for, as stated on the Saudi document.
   Note: This letter must be stamped and signed by the Australian Chamber of Commerce.

Qualification

1. The original and a copy of the qualification, matching with the position they are applying for.

Embassy Visa Fee

1. Australians must pay by money order or bank cheque for the amount of AUD 88.00 (single entry visa) or AUD 220.00 (multiple entry visa) made payable to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia.

Normal Processing

1. Visas can be processed in around three-four working days given all the required documentation is provided and all the conditions met.
